We are seeking an Assistant Manager- Legal and Compliance to ensure that our business operations adhere to legal requirements and internal policies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing legal risks, overseeing contract management, and supporting corporate governance initiatives.

Position Overview
As the Assistant Manager – Legal and Compliance at Genese Solution Pvt. Ltd., you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our business operations adhere to legal requirements and internal policies. You will be responsible for managing legal risks, overseeing contract management, and supporting corporate governance initiatives. This position requires a deep understanding of Nepalese legal frameworks, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Legal Compliance: Provide expert legal advice to management and various departments on a wide range of legal issues including contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, employment law, intellectual property and risk management.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and finalize various contracts and agreements, including client contracts, vendor agreements, and partnership agreements.
- Risk Management: Identify legal risks and provide proactive advice to management on legal and compliance issues.
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal guidelines and best practices.
- Dispute Resolution: Manage legal disputes, litigation, and claims involving the company, including working with external legal counsel when necessary.
- Corporate Governance: Assist in maintaining corporate governance standards and facilitate related documentation.
- Regulatory Updates: Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company. Communicate relevant updates to the management team and ensure appropriate measures are taken.
- Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate relevant departments and workforce on legal and compliance matters.
- Regulatory Liaison: Serve as a liaison with regulatory authorities, ensuring timely compliance with reporting requirements and inquiries.
- Communicating with and managing any third-party bodies such as external counsel/auditors/providers/customers
Skills and Qualifications
- Task-Related Skills and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution; additional qualifications such as an LLM or MBA would be advantageous.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in a legal and compliance role, preferably in the technology or IT services industry.
- Deep understanding of Nepalese legal principles and regulations; familiarity with international legal standards is a plus.
