As a Business Development and Sales Officer, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding our market presence. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, forge strong client relationships, and contribute to the Revenue generation of the organization.

Shift: Standard (09:00 AM to 06:00 PM) from Monday to Friday

Position Overview

Business Development and Sales Officers (BD&SO) are the company’s brand ambassadors, frontline relationship builders, and business generators. They will spend more time in the market, with companies/clients building relations, scoping their needs and requirements, creating demands for products and solutions, channeling the strength of the company & the ability to solve the pain points of the client and connect them with the right product, solution, and services. They will also observe and understand the ongoing business development trends and practices in the market, and feed it back to the team leader to adapt to it and identify differentiation strategies. They will develop market insights to help the team lead prioritize and strategize go-to-market plans to align with the company’s growth goals. 

The BD&SO is responsible for identifying, nurturing, and acquiring new clients and business opportunities to drive growth and profitability. S/he will support the team lead on the competitive positioning and the feature set as well as develop the productive definition of the value proposition, the identification of the effective communication channels, and the cost-effective lead generation process. 

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Business Development and Sales:
    1. Research, identify, and target new business opportunities across different industry segments.
    2. Initiate contact with potential leads through cold calls, emails, and networking events; assess the suitability of leads based on their needs, budget, and decision-making processes.
    3. Promote and sell a portfolio of IT products and solutions to clients.

  • Client Relationship Management:
    1. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.
    2. Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their IT requirements.
    3. Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify up-selling opportunities.

  • Market Research and Analysis:
    1. Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
    2. Provide insights and feedback to the management team regarding market trends and client needs; develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts to guide business planning.

  • Sales Reporting and Documentation:
    1. Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and other relevant documentation.
    2. Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system; analyze sales metrics to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
Skills and Qualifications
    • Task-Related Skills and Certifications 
    1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
    2. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sales, preferably in the IT industry.
    3. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
    • Competencies and Soft Skills 
    1. Strong understanding of mainstream IT products, solutions, and industry trends.
    2. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    3. Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
    4. Proficiency in using Office Suite (Google Workspace or Microsoft Office) and CRM tools.
    5. Strong organizational and time management skills.
    6. Highly motivated and target-driven.
    7. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
    8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    9. Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
