Location: Bakhundole, Lalitpur, Nepal

Shift: (09:00 to 06:00 PM) from Monday to Friday

Position Overview:  

A Business Development Officer will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to increase company sales and profits. Overall, their duties include identifying profitable business opportunities, secure sound business deals, and lead business development associates.

Roles and Responsibilities
  1. Develop business and marketing plans in coordination with the Head of Business Development to achieve set revenue/customer acquisition goals.
  2. Research the market to identify new business opportunities, approach them with full confidence and convert them.
  3. Collaborate with the marketing team to lead generating marketing activities for different products.
  4. Liaise with the national and international vendors to provide the best support to the clients
  5. Embrace a strong understanding of our products and services, our competition in the industry, and our positioning.
  6. Develop in-depth knowledge about business development practices, marketing activities, prospective clients, and industry trends.
  7. Maintain a knowledge repository of clients, referrals, RFPs, prospects, and presentations.
  8. Develop strong customer relationships in order to generate a high volume of prospective clients.
  9. Manage customer calls and appointments effectively for new opportunities.
  10. Visit clients regularly to build relationships and provide different product-related services.
  11. Coordinate with the Finance team to work on payment-related activities.
  12. Prepare and submit reports to the line manager as and when required.
  13. Participate in industry forums, client discussions, and conferences as a representative of the organization.
  14. Determine cross-selling opportunities among different offices.
  15. Hire, train, and guide the marketing and business development associates.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Task Related and Certifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Marketing, or related field.
    • At least 2 years of working experience in an advertising agency or related field will be an added advantage.
  • Competencies and Soft Skills
    • Must have the high pursuing capacity with persistence and perseverance. 
    • Strong communication, presentation, and creative skills.
    • Must have an understanding of digital marketing (Facebook and Google).
    • Deep and fast learning and an open persistent mindset to new technologies. 
    • Active in social media platforms among the industry people.
    • Basic knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint). 
    • Knowledge of email solutions like GSuite and Office 365 will be an added advantage
    • Creative and able to manage assigned responsibilities with little supervision.
    • Must possess good communication skills, decision-making, strategic thinking, leadership, interpersonal, and ethical conduct skills.
    • The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously – result-oriented.
    • Team player, comfortable operating in a demanding and high-paced environment.
    • Experience in leading a project team is desirable.
