Location: Bakhundole, Lalitpur 44600, Nepal

Shift: Standard (09:00 AM to 06:00 PM) from Monday to Friday

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a talented Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and help us manage and scale a SaaS platform running on AWS. This role is crucial for ensuring our infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure while supporting our development teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS infrastructure management, automation, monitoring, and incident response, along with a knack for optimizing cloud costs and ensuring security compliance.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Infrastructure management: Design, build, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure AWS infrastructure for our high-availability platform. You’ll be using services like EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda to keep things running smoothly.
Automation: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate our build, test, and deployment processes. Think tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI – you’ll make our code releases a breeze.
Monitoring & Incident Response: Keep an eye on system performance with tools like Prometheus and CloudWatch. You’ll be the hero who responds to and resolves incidents, minimizing downtime and keeping our customers happy.
Configuration Management: Use tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to ensure everything is consistent across environments.
Team Player: Work closely with our dev teams to integrate new features and improvements into the infrastructure. Share your wisdom on best practices for deploying and managing apps.
Cost Cutter: Analyze and optimize our cloud costs. You’ll find ways to save money without compromising on quality.
Security Buff: Make sure our infrastructure is secure and compliant. You’ll implement measures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.

Skills and Qualifications :

Task Related and Certifications

5+ years in DevOps roles, with a strong focus on AWS. You’ve managed and scaled cloud infrastructure for SaaS platforms before.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer is a plus.
Previous experience with SaaS products, especially in real-time communication is a plus.

Competencies and Soft Skills

Proficient in infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation. You know your way around CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc. Docker and Kubernetes are your best friends.
Solid understanding of networking principles and security best practices. Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus) and logging solutions (ELK stack).
Excellent at troubleshooting and solving complex issues. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. You work well with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Familiarity with additional cloud providers (e.g., Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud environments.
