Shift: Standard (09:00 AM to 06:00 PM) from Sunday to Thursday

Position Overview

The Marketing and Communications Officer is critical in driving Genese Solution’s growth, marketing, outreach and PR initiatives in Bangladesh. The candidate will be responsible for managing and driving the company’s brand awareness, visibility, reputation and engagement with its target audience; building the network and relationships with various stakeholders, including the media outlets; and planning, coordinating, and executing marketing campaigns, events, and outreach programs to foster engagement, reach and conversion across various channels. This role requires a proactive, creative, and organized individual who can effectively collaborate with our global and cross-functional teams to strengthen our presence in Bangladesh.

Roles and Responsibilities

Brand, Marketing and Communication

  • Coordinate with the global brand, marketing and communications team to develop marketing and promotional materials for communication campaigns, events and outreach activities.
  • Utilize all relevant communication channels, such as social media platforms, email marketing, newsletters, meetings and workshops, to promote our events and outreach initiatives.

Event Planning, Promotion and Execution

  • Plan, organize, and execute a variety of events, including workshops, webinars, conferences, meetups, and networking sessions.
  • Coordinate event logistics, such as vendor identification, venue selection, catering, audio-visual arrangements, and participant registration.
  • Prepare and manage event budget, negotiate costs, and ensure cost-effective event execution from start to end.
  • Identify appropriate events and programs for the organization’s sponsorship and participation.

Public Relations

  • Develop and implement PR strategies to enhance the organization’s brand awareness and image.
  • Maintain cordial relationships with media outlets, prepare a database of media contacts, and respond to media enquiries in collaboration with the global team. 
  • Monitor media coverage and report on audiences’ feedback on PR write-ups and public perception of the organization.
  • Organize press meet-ups, conferences, interviews, and media events. 

Outreach and Engagement

  • Plan and execute outreach programs to promote the organization’s outreach and PR initiatives.
  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to reach and engage with potential clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership with relevant organizations and professional forums.
  • Coordinate with the global and internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels. 

Relationship Building

  • Identify opportunities to build partnerships and collaborations to expand the organization’s network.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with relevant stakeholders to enhance our brand reputation and trust.
  • Maintain the organization’s consistent representation and reputation at relevant professional forums, associations and events.
  • Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams to align local outreach and PR efforts with organizational goals.  

Content Creation 

  • Create engaging written content for various marketing and communication channels, such as mainstream and social media.
  • Write press releases, news articles, blogs, event concept notes, brochures, presentations, content for newsletters and other communication materials as required.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with relevant government bodies, industry associations, professional forums, and community groups to enhance Genese’s visibility and participation in relevant events and programs.
  • Engage with the event participants to identify investment and business leads. 

Crisis Management

  • Collaborate with the global team in developing crisis communication plans and strategies.
  • Respond to and manage communications during PR crises to protect the organization’s reputation. 

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of communication campaigns, events, outreach and PR activities, providing regular reports and insights to the management team.
  • Compile and hand over the leads generated from the communication campaigns, events and outreach activities to the respective departments. 
  • Identify areas of improvement and implement strategies to optimize future marketing, communication, outreach and PR efforts.


  • Scan all bills, vouchers, invoices, and forward them to the Global Finance Team for bookkeeping.
  • Maintain proper records and documentation of bills, vouchers, and invoices.
  • Scan bank statements on a weekly basis and send them to the Global Finance Team.
  • Coordinate with the appointed CA firm when necessary.
Skills and Qualifications
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in marketing, outreach, PR, event planning and execution roles, preferably in the IT industry.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in using various marketing and communication tools, including social media platforms.
  • Demonstrated creativity and innovation in conceptualizing and executing events and outreach activities.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in PR and outreach in the region.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinking, problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular office hours as needed per event requirements.
  • High degree of integrity, trustworthiness, confidence, and professionalism.
  • Written and verbal proficiency in English and Bangla languages.
