Position Overview

Genese Solution, a leading digital technology service company headquartered in the United Kingdom with a presence in eight different geographies, including Nepal, is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable candidate for the position of DevSecOps Engineer.

We are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to integrate security into DevOps processes, supporting business objectives in a fast-paced environment. This role focuses on embedding security throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), CI/CD automation, cloud and container security, AI-driven security practices, and extending DevSecOps as a service to the enterprise and customers.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Implement DevSecOps practices within the company and extend them as a customer service, integrating security, development, and operations for secure and efficient software delivery.
• Build relationships with developers, stakeholders, and teams to incorporate security principles in design, deployments, and operations.
• Supervise testing, validation, and implementation of security controls across projects, infrastructure, applications, and AI systems.
• Draft and uphold CI/CD security strategies, simplifying automation and enriching architecture with best practices
• Support “shift left” security with risk assessments, threat modeling, and early vulnerability identification using SAST, DAST, IAST, RASP, SCA tools, and AI application security scans.
• Conduct automated and manual assessments, communicate vulnerabilities, and promote remediation based on risk tolerance
• Conduct secure coding trainings for developers

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
• At least 3+ years experience in DevSecOps
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM)
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Strong understanding of networking, IAM, encryption, and security best practices
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and secure coding standards
• Familiarity with SAST and DAST tools (e.g., Snyk, Sonarsource)
• Preferred certifications: Certified DevSecOps Engineer/AWS Security Specialty/Azure Security Engineer Associate 

Strong project management, communication, presentation, and soft skills
