Position Overview

Genese Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior AI Technical Lead to lead the technical delivery of AI-powered products and solutions. This role requires a highly skilled engineer with strong expertise in AI/ML, modern full-stack development, and cloud technologies who can provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on with development. 

The ideal candidate will work closely with product owners, engineering teams, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. They will be responsible for guiding the technical direction of the project, mentoring engineers, resolving complex technical challenges, and ensuring successful delivery of high-quality AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical design and implementation of AI/ML-powered applications.
  • Own the overall technical architecture and ensure scalability, security, and maintainability. 
  • Build and enhance complex multi-agent AI systems using modern LLM technologies. 
  • Work with LLMs, embedding models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agentic AI frameworks. 
  • Collaborate closely with product owners and stakeholders to understand product requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
  • Support developers in resolving technical blockers and making architecture decisions. 
  • Conduct technical reviews and ensure engineering best practices are followed.
  • Drive code quality, system performance, and deployment readiness.
  • Design and optimize AI pipelines using Python, LangChain, Pydantic, and related AI frameworks. 
  • Deploy and manage AI solutions on AWS using scalable cloud-native architectures. 
  • Engineer and optimize prompts to improve AI model performance.
  • Ensure AI solutions comply with security, privacy, and ethical AI standards.
  • Participate in sprint planning, technical estimation, and release planning.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery. 
Desired Skills, Expertise and Knowledge: 
    • 7+ years of software engineering experience with strong full-stack development expertise. 
    • 4+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML or Generative AI development.
    • Work with current state of the art LLMs and embedding models.
    • Experience building agentic AI systems. 
    • Experience with debugging traces of LLM calls to identify errors/optimizations.
    • Experience with building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
    • Engineer and refine prompts to enhance AI performance and output quality.
    • Knowledge of extracting structured outputs from LLMs. 
    • Strong skills in Python, AI model deployment, and AWS services (Lambda preferred). 
    • Knowledge of LangChain, Pydantic, and scalable AI workflows.
    • Proficiency in prompt engineering and optimization techniques. 
    • Some UI/UX experience is a plus.

      • Proven experience leading technical teams on complex software projects.
      • Ability to mentor engineers and support technical growth. 
      • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. 
      • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
      • Experience driving technical discussions and architectural decisions.
      • Strong collaboration and communication skills. 
      • Ability to balance hands-on development with technical leadership responsibilities.

      Preferred

      • Experience building AI products from concept to production. 
      • Experience in NLP, multimodal AI, or computer vision. 
      • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. 
      • Experience leading distributed or remote engineering teams. 
      • AWS certifications or relevant cloud certifications are an advantage.
