Position Overview

Genese Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Python, React, and AWS to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, cloud-native applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

This role requires hands-on experience in backend and frontend development, cloud technologies, and modern software engineering practices. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in an Agile environment, solving complex technical challenges, and contributing to the design and delivery of enterprise-grade applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Python and React.
• Build and maintain secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly frontend applications using React.
• Design and optimize database structures using PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on AWS cloud services.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, UI/UX Designers, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality and development standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues efficiently.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and Agile ceremonies.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.

Desired Skills, Expertise and Knowledge

• Minimum 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong programming experience with Python (FastAPI, Django, or Flask).
• Strong frontend development experience using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, API Gateway, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Experience working with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred:

• Experience working with AI/LLM APIs or AI-enabled applications is a plus.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservice architectures.
• AWS Certification is an added advantage.
