Location: Bakhundole, Lalitpur 44600, Nepal
Shift: Standard (09:00 AM to 06:00 PM) from Monday to Friday
Position Overview
The Technical SME serves as the subject matter expert for enterprise collaboration platforms, including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho Workplace, and on-premises email systems, providing technical leadership across solution design, migration, implementation, and support. The role supports the full solution lifecycle from design and migration to configuration, optimization, and support while ensuring best-practice architecture, minimal disruption, and high standards of security and reliability. Serving as the primary technical authority across pre-sales and post-sales engagements, the specialist manages migrations, domain and license administration, troubleshooting, and escalations to ensure seamless customer adoption and sustained service quality.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Product Ownership & Platform Management: Own workplace and collaboration platforms as the internal SME, coordinating with OEMs and distributors for updates and escalations.
- Technical Pre-Sales & Solution Support: Support sales and RFP engagements through demos, proof-of-concepts, and by translating technical capabilities into business-focused solutions.
- Solution Design & Architecture: Design secure cloud, hybrid, and on-premises collaboration architectures, prepare migration strategies and Bills of Materials (BOMs), and ensure alignment with security, compliance, and best-practice standards.
- Migration, Implementation & Escalation Management: Lead and support email migrations, configure DNS and mail flow settings, manage identity synchronization and licensing, and act as an escalation point for complex technical issues while ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
- Internal Enablement & Continuous Improvement: Deliver internal training sessions, develop technical documentation and migration playbooks, and support GTM initiatives to strengthen product readiness and service quality.
Skills and Qualifications
- Educational Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor in Engineering (Management, IT, or related field).
Competencies and Soft Skills
Must Have Skill Sets
- Strong expertise in enterprise email and collaboration platforms including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho Workplace, and on-premises email systems.
- Hands-on experience in email migrations (cloud-to-cloud, on-prem-to-cloud, hybrid transitions).
- Proficiency in DNS and domain configuration (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC), mail flow, and routing.
- Strong understanding of IAM, MFA, RBAC, and security policy configuration.
- Experience in service desk operations, SLA management, escalation handling, and root cause analysis.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for email, collaboration tools, and cloud service environments.
- Ability to guide clients on configuration best practices, governance, and security hardening.
Desirable Experience:
- Hands-on experience with hybrid deployments and on-prem systems.
- Experience supporting RFP responses, technical demos, and PoCs.
- Relevant OEM certifications (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365/Exchange, Zoho)
